LEADER'S DIGEST - September 2017

The premier camps of the midwest - Where Camping is King!

Welcome

Samoset Council has been delivering outstanding camping programs in the pristine Northwoods of Wisconsin for over 80 years. Although we are most known for our summer camping, we have programs that run all year.

We look forward to serving you in any capacity as we run various programs throughout the year.

Webelos Fall Adventure

Join us for an overnight camping adventure designed to introduce Webelos Scouts and their parents to the Scouting adventures ahead and help create excitement for their transition to the Boy Scouts. This event is September 23-25.

Fall Cub Camp

Experience camp for the first time or as a returning Scout. Choose from one of two dates at Akela's World in Rhinelander on October 7 or 8. Samoset Council is known as the place “Where Camping is King”. Come and see why. This is the perfect event to introduce new scouts to what it's all about!

Merit Badge Workshop

This anticipated weekend where scouts can earn unique Merit Badges will finally be upon us November 4. Registration opens on September 11. The Merit Badge schedule and prerequisites will be released then.

Escape Crystal Lake!

Join us October 27-29 and November 3-5 for a haunted camp! This event will consist of a spooky walk through camp's trails and an escape room. More details will be released on our Facebook page and website.

Winter Camp

Registration for Hanna Winter Resort and Polar Cubs opened September 1. Winter Camp is a great opportunity to take  your scouts camping during months we tend to stay indoors. Our goal is to provide your scouts with everything they need to have an amazing winter camp experience including a heated bunk. Boy Scouts are provided with all of the equipment and freedom to do nearly any winter activity they wish. The Cub Scouts are provided with a unique winter program designed specifically for scouts their age.

Sign Up for 2018

There is so much competition for our children’s time in the summer. But let’s not forget the value of a camp experience — camp is a gift we can give our children that they will benefit from and remember forever.

Units should signup for summer camp a year in advance. This allows families to plan their schedules around these events. Reservations for 2018 summer camp are now open for Packs, Troops and Crews.

2018 Staff

Our camps are only as good as our staff. We are always looking for the best of the best to work for our camping operations. If any scouts are interested in working at the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation please apply online: http://www.campingisking.com/about-us/camp-staff
